原文:
Although most of us would hate to admit it, there’s more than a grain of truth in the old saying ”The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.” (p.26)

譯評:
原文中The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.應是指a child acts like or is like his or her parents，而譯者翻譯之「有其父必有其子」應為like father like son，雖在意思上解釋相當接近，並非不妥，但個人認為因此兩句諺語都有習慣性的相中英文對照，不建議使用。
